The Ski & Snowboard School Hochtal Wildschönau is located in the village of Auffach and is also represented in the village of Oberau (lifts in the Roggenboden area). The school has received the Quality Award from the Tyrolean Ski Association, a prestigious award for quality and high standards of service.
One lesson per day is four hours with a lunch break, but you can also take half-day lessons (two hours) if you wish. There is a maximum of twelve students per group. For an additional fee, a child can be kept in the group for the lunch break. He or she will then join the other students and instructors for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
At the middle station of the Schatzberg lift there is a special children's learning area with a 'magic carpet', ski carousel, playground and lots of equipment to help young skiers learn quickly and safely.
Every week the school organises a fun steam train ride and an afternoon ride in the woods. On Thursdays there is a Children's Olympics where participants receive a race medal and their race number as a souvenir.
