The best place to improve your health or simply relax after a hard day's skiing is in one of the modern wellness centres, which offer swimming pools, spas and various water treatments. One such centre, the Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein (Gastein Ski Resort), welcomes families with children. In fact, it is one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
The Alpentherme covers an area of around 30,000 square metres and overlooks a beautiful mountain range. It is a true paradise for visual aficionados and lovers of modern water treatments.

The Bad Hofgastein Health Centre has several pools filled with normal and medicinal thermal water. For the youngest visitors to the Alpentherme, the owners have installed water slides, one of which, the Black Hole, is always full of squealing children. You can go rafting on the 110 metre long channel. The centre also has its own "lazy river" with a slow current and a speed slide for young extreme lovers.
Once your child has finished swimming, they can have fun in the water cinema or in the outdoor playground. There is also a small paddling pool in the centre for the little ones. During the summer holidays, the mini-club at the Alpentherme offers fun games and creative activities.

Of course, the Alpentherme also has pools for adults: outdoor, indoor, relaxation, thermal, mineral, sports and many more. And original treatments such as a geyser, an air bubble bed or a whirlpool wall will surprise even experienced visitors.
A separate 'Women's World' area awaits ladies in the Aquatic Health Centre, where a special 'Anti-Ageing' and 'Weight Loss' programme, as well as various wellness and beauty treatments, are offered to the lovely ladies. The women's area also includes a solarium, algae wraps, beauty treatments and massages.
