The name of the children's ski school in Altenmarkt, Skischule Happy, says it all: children learn to ski in a fun and relaxed way. A special children's area has been set up at the bottom station of the 10-metre Hobi Bahn gondola, where the first lessons take place. As children get better, they move on to the gentler slopes of the mountain.
From around 3.5 years of age, children can join the ski school. Children are placed in groups according to their abilities. Activities on the slopes can start with a 2 hour morning course or a full 4 hour course on booked days.
The children will train hard to perform well at the ski races on Thursday. The run through the Fichtelwald forest is particularly exciting.
Each participant will receive a medal and certificate at the awards ceremony on Friday. There will also be a surprise for the winner!
The main features of the school include:
- A special area for activities with young children.
- Working with small groups divided into levels.
- Weekly competitions on Thursdays.
- Diplomas and medals for all participants. The winner of each group also receives a free visit to the Amade Spa.
- Weekly ski jumping competition from the mini ramp.
- Fichtelland (troll world) themed ski trip.
- Lunch at the Arlhofhütte restaurant in the presence of the instructors: main course, dessert and soft drink (12 €/day).
