Labyrinth Kinder Museum

Labyrinth Kinder Museum

Germany, Berlin

It is impossible to describe the Labyrinth Children's Museum in two words. It is worth saying that it resembles nothing so much as a museum, but the word 'children' in the name is no coincidence. The Labyrinth is at the same time a giant playroom, a fun school, a small world and a space for experiments, all kinds of exhibitions and workshops of interest to children.

When it's raining, it's a refuge, but you can have a great time every day. If you're in Berlin with your child, it's an unusual and fascinating place to visit.

The museum is mainly for children aged 3 to 12, for whom play is the main, if not one of the main, ways of learning about the world. What great games to play! For budding chefs, there's a fully equipped kitchen with utensils and food (even though it's a toy). For future builders, there are details for building a house, helmets, work clothes and tools. Here you can reincarnate yourself as a shopkeeper, a teacher, a tsar or a pirate, because Labyrinth has all the costumes and props you need.

Children's MACHmit! Museum will appeal to children for whom creativity is one of the elements of a fun pastime

Children will also have the opportunity to take part in real-life tasks: temporary exhibitions can be dedicated to drawing up a city map, finding architectural solutions or landscaping the streets. In these cases, the children work with real experts. You can also learn practical skills by trying your hand at sowing grass, sculpting a bun or designing a greetings card.

And inquisitive children will try to supplement their school knowledge here, because mathematics or physics seems much more exciting in the playroom than in the classroom. The important laws and concepts in the museum are explained in an accessible way, the information is easy to remember and will be useful to the child in the future. The educational area has a dozen sections, including reading, writing, modelling and more.

There are also shows, concerts and entertainment. As you can stay in the Labyrinth for quite some time, it is important to know that there is a good café in the Labyrinth. We also recommend that you bring extra socks or soft slippers for your child.
