Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt

Berlin is a city that never lets you get bored. Even when the weather is bad, whether it's snowing or raining, there's always a place to have fun as a family. One such place is the Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt indoor play centre.

The play centre covers 2,000 m2 — a whole 0.2 hectares of fun rides and play equipment! It has attractions for children from 1 to 4 years old and for older children (up to 14 years old). What can you do at Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt?

The playground has a variety of play areas and attractions. Not all of them are indoors, some are outdoors and can be used during the warmer months. The play centre also has its own outdoor play area.

1. Go-karting. Do you want to become a motorcycle racer, go on a Tommys Turbulente jungle cruise or race with friends? All this is possible at the Arcade karting centre.
2. The arcade area. Here you will find slot machines such as Frog Madness. This machine will test your dexterity, as not everyone will be able to hit all the jumping frogs with a hammer. Or you can try your luck at pulling a soft prize out of the box with a mechanical hand. There is also the popular air hockey in this area.
3. Obstacle course. Not everyone will make it from start to finish without touching an obstacle.
4. Soft play ball pool. Great fun for the little ones.
5. Bouncy castle. An area the little ones will love and a fun alternative to the usual trampolines.
6. A water slide. It's located in an outdoor area and is only available during the warmer months. This summer location is great for anyone wanting a refreshing dip on a particularly hot day (although visitors may need to change afterwards).
7. Tiger Slide. The special thing about this slide is not only its length, but also the number of lanes. The Tiger Slide is a four-lane slide, which means you can race down it with your friends.
8. Rollercoaster. This unusual slide has a special feature — a roller coaster. This activity is similar to winter inline skating, except that the roller coaster is available all year round.
9. Climbing wall. Children can try their hand at climbing a wall with coloured spikes or crawling through a net maze.
10. Flying Balls Zone. An interesting attraction where children have to dodge balls flying towards them.
11. "The Climbing Spider". An outdoor attraction with lots of sturdy nets that can be climbed like spider webs or vines in a jungle thicket.

Of course, the play centre also has a bistro with a wide range of hearty meals and a variety of drinks. There is also an outdoor barbecue area. Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt makes sure that no one goes hungry after the activities.

At Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt you can celebrate a child's birthday or any other party. A total of four children's party packages are offered:

• "Pure. From €20 per child.
• "Smart". From €20 per child.
• "All Inclusive". From €22.
• "Super party". From 26 Euros.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays are extra 2 Euros.

All packages include:

• admission ticket to the play centre;
• table decorations;
• a throne for the birthday boy or girl;
• nameplate;
• refreshments (varies according to package);
• 0.3 litres of drink per child.

With the Super Party Package you can choose a theme — unicorns, football stars or a jungle adventure. Children's champagne is included in the menu. Each guest also gets an ice-cream sundae and parents get free parking.

Invitation cards for younger guests can be downloaded from the website.  Party packages are suitable for children aged 2 to 11. Birthday cake can be brought in, but no other food or drink is allowed. For fire safety reasons, candles and fireworks are also not available for the birthday boy or girl.

Food for the birthday party will be provided by the local bistro — seasonal fruit and vegetable platters, chips, chicken nuggets, fish fingers and sausages. A second portion of the chosen dish will be provided for guests if required. The party package includes treats for the children only; adults order and pay for their food separately.

If you have booked an All Inclusive or Super Party Package, you can use the barbecue in the outdoor area. You must inform reception of your intention to barbecue at least 3 days before the party, stating what you would like to cook and which meat is preferred for younger guests. You can order two barbecues for each child's choice of barbecue sausage, chicken fillet or pork steak. Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt staff will prepare the chosen dishes and the parents will grill them themselves. Children will be served chips as a side dish. Grilled meat for adults will be charged separately.

All visitors are welcome to use the barbecue area, not just those celebrating a birthday in the play centre. However, you must inform us in advance (at least 3 days in advance) of your wish to barbecue meat and pay approximately €10 for the service. You can bring your own meat to grill, but other food and drinks are not covered by this concession.

Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt often hosts themed parties (e.g. New Year's Eve parties) and cooking classes for children. Particularly popular are the local pyjama parties. You can come to Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt for a sleepover and party till dawn. Just don't forget your toothbrush, pyjamas and sleeping bag and the play centre staff will take care of the rest. Dates for upcoming events are posted on the website in advance.

The website sells vouchers for visits to the centre, which can make a great gift. They are available in digital form and can be downloaded and printed at home.

The play centre has lockers for personal belongings, but visitors must bring their own lock. Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt guests who do not have a padlock can borrow one.

• It is advisable to book tickets online, especially on public holidays and weekends. The play centre may be too busy, so it may not always be possible to buy a ticket at the ticket office.
• If you want to save money, book your tickets online. The cost is reduced by €2 if you book online.
• If you've bought tickets or booked a children's party, but for whatever reason you can't make it to the play centre, you can cancel your booking (tickets will be refunded) and get a full refund. You must do this at least 3 days before your planned visit.
• When you go to the play centre, wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movement. It is advisable to wear sportswear that is not too warm, without hooks, eyelets or laces.
• The centre management asks that you do not give mobile phones, personal toys or valuables to the children. The staff cannot be held responsible if they are lost.
• Book a children's party at the play centre in advance (preferably 14 days before the planned date). You can do this online or by telephone.
• Pets are not allowed in the play centre due to hygiene regulations.
• If you want to leave your child alone, you need to fill in an authorisation form in advance (the form is available on the website).
• It is forbidden to bring your own food and drink into the play centre, so it is advisable to have a snack before or after your visit to Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt.
• Socks are compulsory for the visit. Children with street shoes or bare feet are not allowed in the play area.
