Garmisch offers just as much family fun in summer as it does in winter. While in winter everyone comes here for the pleasures of skiing, in the warmer months there is a different kind of recreation for those who love heights — the various trails of the Kletterpark Garmisch (Garmisch Rope Park). This is a fun activity for the little ones too.
It's worth noting that the easiest route is for children aged six and over. But even if you have little ones with you, the shade of the tall trees will make it fun and interesting for them just to run around and watch people climbing in the heights.
Museum Werdenfels is just 1.2 km away. Stop by there with the whole family and you too.
So what does the Garmisch Rope Park have to offer adrenaline junkies? There are 13 different routes with a total of 130 climbing elements, from the easiest and lowest (three metres above the ground), which is very popular with children, to the most difficult, which is at a height of 17 metres. Lianas, suspension bridges, cobwebs, rope paths and many other obstacles await the park's explorers. Five of the thirteen trails are suitable for children over the age of six.
If you're unsure of your skills, a personal trainer is on hand to explain safety procedures and teach you how to navigate the trails correctly and without fear.
