Housed in an old building with high ceilings, this cosy three-star hotel is a good choice for a budget family holiday in Garmisch. Firstly, the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is well located for easy access to the nearby ski resorts: the train, bus and bus station are literally across the street from the hotel.
And don't let the proximity of the train tracks put you off: as all guests point out, the soundproofing in the rooms is very good. The centre of Garmisch with its shops and restaurants is within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes).
For families with children, the Vier Jahreszeiten offers special two-room rooms, with discounts for young travellers. The only point is that if you need a cot, you'll have to pay extra.
