Germany is the European country with the highest number of amusement parks. Bavaria has no fewer than ten, but the state's largest park, Skyline Park, is located in the Algoy region, 80km from Munich. There are 60 attractions for visitors of all ages, with free entertainment for the little ones.
The activities at Skyline Park are varied, but most are positioned as family attractions. Indeed, the driving range, bobsleigh run, small water park and water scooters are all suitable for the whole family. Note that Skyline Park's race track is the largest in Germany.
Be sure to visit High Fly, a giant of a swing. At 33 metres high, the High Fly is the biggest swing in a German theme park! Enjoy the full range of motion and swings of up to 360°. Unlike the Swing Ship, it also rotates around its own axis.
However, it's hard to say whether parents will risk taking their children on the bomb ride. Children should bring spare clothes just in case, as even the lucky players will come out drenched from head to toe. Simply place convex water bombs in a container, aim at your opponent, pull the rubber ropes with all your might, then release and fire at the water gunner opposite.
Another unusual activity for young and old is the Rope Park. A path is stretched out at a very low height and you have to walk along it, just like the tightrope walkers in the circus. Climbing, dangling and balancing: who can show iron courage, agility and sheer strength at heights of up to ten metres?
Climbing a forest of ladders, beams and ropes can be tough, but it can also be a lot of fun. How about a climbing competition for the whole family or an endurance test for you and your best friends? Between heaven and earth, it will soon become clear who has what it takes to be a 'maxi climber' and who prefers to keep their feet firmly on the ground. Of course, the latest safety technology ensures that this adventure at Allgäu Skyline Park is risk-free.
The little ones have their own playground with trampolines, an almost real fortress, a building site with all the necessary equipment, a petting zoo and much more. There's also a river on the site where children can go canoeing. Of course, Skyline Park has a full range of classic children's merry-go-rounds and a mini steam train.
Extreme enthusiasts have their own landmarks. They will be thrilled by the breathtaking loops of the roller coaster, the twists and turns of the go-kart track, the aerobatics of the Sky Jet ride and the 90-metre flight in the giant balloon. The sphere is attached to two strong steel cables that are hydraulically tensioned by 160 huge steel springs. As soon as sphere is released, you will be catapulted 90 metres into the air with a force of 4.5 times your body weight — an absolutely breathtaking spectacle.
There are also shows and festivals in the park. During the Fun for Families family circus show, clowns not only entertain the audience but also teach them simple tricks. There are several cafes in the park, so you can spend the whole day here. For a relaxing change of pace, take a ride on the train through the picturesque lanes. Accompanying the children on the ride is a cute little lion cub, the symbol of Skyline Park. You can buy his figurine in the souvenir shop.
