Alicante doesn't have many activities designed exclusively for children. But active and irrepressible kids quickly get bored with the beach, so the resort's EL MUNDO DE LOS NINOS amusement park is the perfect place for them.
It is located on Loring Street on one of the main beaches in the town. Most of the activities there are suitable for children aged 2-12. EL MUNDO DE LOS NINOS is big enough for several thousand tourists at a time.
Children can participate in various exciting quests, jump on trampolines, and ride on all sorts of merry-go-rounds and swings. You can do whatever you want in Alicante, which is what the amusement park is about.
Many people gather on weekends, especially in the evenings, so that queues can last long. The park is bigger but hotter during the day — there are not many shady areas.
Most rides require tokens, but you can buy a season ticket for a better deal. However, some rides do not require a season ticket. Another plus is that you can spend the rest of your season ticket on another day, so if you buy it at the beginning of your holiday at the resort, it will not be lost.
Alicante's Luna Park is a typical theme park found in every city. But even with the similarity of the rides, children still come to love them. For them, there is never too much fun. Babies can be taken to the fun maze where they can crawl, jump, throw balls and let their energy run free. All sides of the labyrinth are covered with safe, soft mesh, so you can see exactly what your child is doing inside from the outside.
There are also large, open-air inflatable trampolines. It's better to send children over three years old to these because it's easy to lose your child from sight among the bright decorations. Carousels with swings suspended on chains are popular. There are simulated cars installed.
There is a beautiful small pool where you can swim in large inflatable boats in the form of cartoon characters. Nearby is another artificial pond with small plastic boats. A miniature golf course, air hockey and board games are popular with the older kids.
A child's birthday party in the park is inexpensive (approx. €12 per person). This price includes an entry wristband, cake, candy bag, snacks, decorations, a royal throne and a free photo shoot of the birthday boy/girl and his/her friends.
This amusement park is the city's only place for children's entertainment. There's a café on site where you can grab a bite to eat and pass the time while the kids are busy on the rides.
