There are Aqualand water parks in several of Spain's resort towns. One is located in Torremolinos, the largest water park in the Costa del Sol. Here you will find 12 types of slides, three water playgrounds for children, swimming and relaxation pools. This is one of those places where you can have a whole family holiday.
Of course, first, we would like to praise Aqualand Torremolinos' attractions for children. Children's Paradise, Seta Acuática and Laguna Tropical are three differently decorated children's pools. There are fountains and small slides for the little ones, while the older ones have waterfalls and steep slides. The pools are equipped with sun loungers, so parents can sunbathe comfortably without letting their children out of sight.
Judging by the number of slides at Aqualand Torremolinos, the focus here is on extreme entertainment. The Kamikaze slide, for example, was for a long time the highest in Europe and only gave way to the King Khajuna slide in PortAventura. But even today, the Kamikaze, a 22 m high chute, with its very sight alone, makes you pump your heart out.
A mixture of horror and excitement awaits those who dare to ride the black tube Black Hole, the crazy Anaconda slides or the Mustang-like Crazy Cones.
This makes the other slides seem quiet, but they are a lot of fun. You can go down the intertwined Twister tunnels, the straight and fast Crazy Race tracks, the Multipistas speed slides, or the twisting Super Slalom chutes. Also not to be missed are the Rapids slide, which starts under a waterfall, the Boomerang ramp and the Espiral spring. These slides suit school-age children (most are accessible to visitors over 1.20 m tall).
What else makes Torremolinos water park great for a family holiday in the Costa del Sol? Undoubtedly, the large swimming pool with artificial waves. It has an area of almost 1.5 thousand square meters, and the waves rise to a height of 1 meter. However, instead of wrestling with the elements, you can also soak in a Jacuzzi or swim in the pool with a Niagara waterfall.
Several cafes within the water park offer fast food and a picnic area. Note that Torremolinos Aqualand is never empty, and during the high season and especially on weekends, there are queues for most of the slides. Next to the water park is the Crocodile Park. Combo tickets for both parks are available at the water park ticket office and online.
