Aqualand Costa Adeje

Aqualand Costa Adeje

Spain, Costa Adeje

What's an eloquent testament to Tenerife's warm climate? The outdoor water park is open almost all year round. It is the mode of operation of Aqualand in Costa Adeje. Before the opening of Siam Park, it was the only water park on the island, but it has lost none of its popularity. Among the benefits for families with children are many activities for the kids and the excellent dolphin show.

Tenerife Aqualand's children's play area is truly worthy of praise. The four water areas have different decorations, and children will want to visit each one. In 'Forest Land', the slides resemble tree trunks; in 'Dragon Land', a rainbow lizard raises splash fountains; from a medieval castle, there are soft Crazy Race Junior slides instead of a road and 'Water Town' pours water for all comers.

Looking at the other rides, it becomes clear why Aqualand Costa Adeje has retained its position as the centre of family entertainment in Tenerife. For one thing, most of its slides are not too steep and are suitable for the whole family. There is even an entire Family Adventureland complex with five different types of striped slides, which are suitable even for kids. The Rapids slide is a two-person ride on a giant toboggan. And in 2015, another slide was added, Multisurf, which uses special mats for better sliding.

But Aqualand Tenerife isn't precisely at the back of the pack regarding extreme slides either. The most incredible slide, Flying Boats, appeared in 2015. It is 272 metres long and consists of indoor and outdoor sections. Two steep Kamikazes, the Tornado funnel, four intertwined Twister Racer tubes and three bright Super Slalom slides also await those who can muster the will to do something desperate.

While such crazy descents are out of your children's reach, encourage them to splash around in the artificial wave pool or take a toboggan ride on the 500-metre Lava River, where waterfalls foam up, and a pleasant coolness reigns in the grottoes. A hydromassage helps you to relax. The warmest pool, the Jacuzzi, has a temperature of +25°C.

For all these pleasures, it's essential not to forget the dolphin show. "Aqualand Tenerife has won the award for best show, and audiences are consistently amazed by the dolphins' cleverness and friendship with their trainers.

You can also buy drinks and ice cream at the dolphinarium. The water park has a fast-food restaurant, several ice cream and food stalls.
