Overview

Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, Artspace offers an inspiring Summer Arts Program for rising 1st through 12th graders. With week-long camps running from June 10 to August 9, 2024, this program is a vibrant mix of fun, exploration, and artistic growth. Campers will learn tips, tricks, and techniques from professional artists while creating one-of-a-kind projects in a supportive and creative environment. A Camp for Every Age and Interest Artspace’s summer camps are thoughtfully designed to cater to different age groups and artistic interests. Each session features morning (9 AM–12 PM) and afternoon (1 PM–4 PM) classes, allowing campers to explore various mediums and techniques.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s offered: Grades 1-3: Young artists can dive into exciting themes like Flower Power (mixed media), Paws + Paint (animal-inspired painting), or Superior Sculptures (working with clay, plaster, and more). Grades 4-5: Campers can explore advanced techniques such as printmaking, mixed media collages, or vibrant painting projects. Grades 6-8: Middle schoolers will enjoy collaborative projects like mural painting or creating nature-inspired shadow boxes. Grades 9-12: High school students can refine their skills with advanced workshops led by professional artists. Hands-On Learning with Professional Artists Artspace’s professional instructors guide campers through the creative process while encouraging experimentation and self-expression. Campers also have the unique opportunity to meet working artists and view exhibitions from national and regional talents in Artspace’s inspiring facility. Flexible Scheduling Families can choose morning-only sessions or full-day programs by combining morning and afternoon classes. Lunch breaks are supervised for full-day campers, making it easy for parents to plan their schedules.
