Overview
As the resplendent sun peeks above the brush strokes of Texas Hill country, 76 acres of adventure whisper their siren call. Welcome to Camp Capers, a shimmering jewel perched above the Guadalupe River, welcoming the laughter and joy of over 2000 campers each summer.
Crafted for kids aged 8 through 18, Camp Capers pulses with an infectious vitality, beating like a heart in the heartland. Here, Littles and Bigs alike discover the thrill of the dive and the roar of the crowd, with activities from kayaking to volleyball, basketball to baseball, and an assortment of other adventures that'll get your camper hiking, backpacking, and swimming.
And the love? Well, it is as robust as Texas itself. Camp Capers is more than just a summer hub for fun; your child is walking into a hug, into a circle of friends who operate under the umbrella of unconditional affection and camaraderie. Here, within this sacred, wholesome ground, your child lives, learns and grows in a Christ-centered community teeming with compassion and grace.
As for the helm of this great ship? A seasoned and diligent crew of staff and volunteers, who sail through careful vetting processes, quit their anchors at a comprehensive training session, and guide each camp term with dedication. A nurturing of future leaders continues under the watchful eyes of deans, chaplains, and teachers, roped in from the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas.
Camp Capers, it’s a summer promise of rollicking joy, leadership, and friendships that echo a lifetime. But caution parents, it's so much fun, you might just start wishing you were a kid again yourselves!
