Overview

The camp runs weekly sessions where each week presents a unique topic and building challenge—no prior experience is required. Younger campers (ages 4-6) explore basic engineering concepts such as structure and stabilization using gears and axles, while ages 7-8 shift into block-coding basics and design mechanisms like locking systems or bridges. Ages 9-11 engage with intermediate robotics work using tools like EV3 and SPIKE Prime, including sensor integration and gear ratio exploration, and ages 12-14 tackle advanced topics such as 3-D object movement, gyro sensors, PID control and transmissions.

In addition, there are specialty tracks focused on CAD, Java, and Python programming for those interested in more coding than building. The schedule is structured into morning and afternoon sessions with snack breaks and lunch time built in, allowing campers time to build, test, code and reflect. Each day offers a build-code-test cycle where students design, construct, program and refine their robots. The camp fosters teamwork, communication and creative thinking as students collaborate on projects and present their work. In the process of building and programming, campers deepen their STEM understanding and gain the confidence to tackle more complex challenges. Ultimately, the week wraps up with sharing their work, celebrating progress, and gearing up for the next challenge—making robotics accessible, fun and empowering for young learners.

Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation

LeXT Robo Academy Agoura Camp operates as a day camp and does not provide overnight lodging. Campers spend their days in bright, air-conditioned classrooms designed for hands-on learning and creativity. Each room is equipped with robotics kits, computers, and building materials, ensuring that every camper has the tools they need to explore and experiment. The environment is organized, comfortable, and structured to support teamwork and focused activity. Ample indoor space allows campers to learn safely and productively, no matter the weather.

Meals

Campers bring their own lunches from home, ensuring that individual dietary preferences and needs are met. The camp provides designated snack and lunch breaks during the day, giving students time to rest, eat, and socialize with their peers. Staff supervise all meal periods to maintain safety and order. Hydration and healthy eating are encouraged, with regular reminders to drink water and take breaks between activities.

Medicine

Parents are required to provide any necessary medical information and medications prior to camp attendance. The camp staff is trained to administer basic first aid and to ensure that children who require medication receive it safely and on schedule. All medicines are stored securely and handled only by authorized personnel. In the event of illness or injury, parents are contacted immediately, and appropriate care is provided. Camper well-being and health are treated as top priorities.

Security

LeXT Robo Academy places strong emphasis on safety and supervision. The facility is secured with controlled entry and exit points, ensuring that campers are released only to authorized adults. Staff members maintain small group ratios to guarantee individual attention and oversight throughout the day. Emergency procedures are in place, and all staff receive training in safety protocols. The environment is designed to be both secure and supportive, giving parents peace of mind while children learn and play confidently.

Camp Traditions

Though focused on robotics and technology, the camp also fosters a fun, community-driven culture. Team-building challenges, friendly competitions, and group presentations are part of the daily experience. At the end of each session, campers celebrate their projects by demonstrating their robots to peers and family members. This closing event highlights creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving, reinforcing the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from learning together. Each summer, these traditions inspire returning campers to build, innovate, and lead with confidence.
