Santa Clara Water Polo Camp

Santa Clara Water Polo Camp

United States, Santa Clara

Overview

Whistle blows, hearts race, and the game is afoot! Get ready for the thrill of the 2024 Santa Clara Water Polo Camp. Experience the vibrant energy of this whirlpool of talent and training, where the dynamic duo of Head Coach Claire Linney and Assistant Coach Allie Lamb, along with Assistant Coach Will Grant, take center stage. Their expertise, combined with the unparalleled facilities at the Sullivan Aquatic Center, make this camp a dream come true for budding water polo enthusiasts. The camp is a place where every participant gets a chance to shine, with a low camper-to-staff ratio ensuring individual attention. The coaches understand that every child is different, and their grouping system based on abilities and goals mirrors their commitment to personalized training. From fundamental drills to intensive scrimmages, campers are exposed to a full spectrum of water polo skills. The day starts at 9:00 AM and wraps up at 4:00 PM, a balanced schedule that leaves room for both learning and fun. Campers are requested to bring packed lunch and healthy snacks, as meals are not provided. The camp caters to both boys and girls in the 14-18 age group, with separate sessions for each. The Advanced Skills program is a special treat for high school water polo players, offering them a platform to hone their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment. The program focuses on fostering not just technical skills but also instilling confidence, self-motivation, and passion for the sport. While the camp provides a camp T-shirt and prizes, campers need to bring their own water polo suit, towel, and training gear. Remember, this is your chance to swim with the big fish, so act fast!
