The 3-star Hotel Schachner is the first choice for families planning to enrol their children in a ski school. The location couldn't be more ideal: right behind the hotel, there's a huge Snowly Land learning area for children owned by the "Snow and Fun" ski school, gentle slopes for children and adults, and the Unterschwarachbahn, which can be reached within a 5-minute walk.
The hotel is on the main street, so there's always somewhere to walk in the evening. The rooms are small but clean and cosy. The Schachner was renovated in 2010-2011, and now boasts a new and very cosy restaurant, an alpine bar, partially renovated rooms and a wonderful SPA area with saunas and steam rooms.
The food is of excellent quality, not too varied in choice, but always fresh and tasty. There is a buffet for breakfast and a four-course menu for dinner. Dietary meals are available on request. There is a separate playroom with a climbing wall, children's furniture and toys for the little ones. The staff at the hotel, including the owners themselves, are very friendly. Most of the guests of the Schachner are regulars at the hotel.
