The wonderful three-star Stern am Rathaus Hotel offers excellent accommodation at a relatively low price. The hotel is located in a quiet area within walking distance of Cologne Cathedral, the city's main attraction, as well as other equally interesting destinations. The airport is 15.5km away and the train station is only 550m away. There is an underground station nearby.
The hotel is small (only eight rooms) and very comfortable. The rooms at Stern am Rathaus feature a flat-screen TV and a desk. A refrigerator, safe and tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The owners always try to make their guests happy with their service. Clean and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price, despite the central location; delicious homemade breakfasts with fresh pastries, yoghurts and fruit; free Wi-Fi; assistance in all matters related to the organisation of the excursion programme — all this is the best of the hotel.
It's worth noting that there's no lift in the building, so if you're planning a trip here with a young child, it's worth considering a ground floor room in advance.

From the airport you can take a taxi to the hotel by booking an individual transfer, or you can take public transport (train line S13, journey time about 15 minutes). Get off at the central railway station, then walk about 550 metres or take a taxi.
