The Aquarena water centre is a great option for a family holiday in Kitzbühel ski resort after skiing in the winter, or to relax and escape the heat in the summer. It is an indoor facility with several pools, a Finnish sauna, steam room, infrared cabin, heated loungers, hammam, massage services (classic, therapeutic, sports, lymphatic and reflexology) and mud treatments.
During the summer (Tuesdays), aqua fitness classes are held for everyone. The aquatic area is divided into two parts. The first is a large pool for relaxation and recreation, with waterfalls and a Jacuzzi area, a children's area and a small slide for the youngest visitors. There are comfortable sun loungers around the pool.
For older children, there are two long, covered water slides. They're not too fast, but they'll cheer you up. The second part is the 25-metre pool, which can be used by anyone who wants to swim. The sports pool area has a new infrared cabin, the Physiotherm Pro2. The centre has spacious changing rooms, also for families, and powerful hairdryers. During the warmer months, most visitors enjoy the sun on the terrace and lawn.
Towels are also available for hire. If you get hungry, visit the Naturtalent restaurant, which serves international main courses, salads, snacks and children's meals. The restaurant is open whether you are a visitor to the centre or not. Aquarena also has an amusement arcade for younger guests and a games room for adults. As the centre is owned by Bergbahn Kitzbühel AG, don't forget to bring your ski pass, which will give you a small discount on admission.
