Metro Richmond Zoo Summer Safari

Metro Richmond Zoo Summer Safari

United States, Moseley

Overview

Discover an extraordinary family adventure in the pleasantly pastoral setting of Metro Richmond Zoo. This engaging camp with a focus on Performing Arts and Animal Interaction allows young enthusiasts to meet, feed, and befriend a delightful collection of barnyard residents. The appealing world of the zoo unfolds as campers get an opportunity to interact with amiable creatures such as goats, camels, llamas, chickens, and sheep. These cheerful animals are just as excited as the children to share their day! To ensure the safety of our campers and animal friends, only treats provided by the zoo are shared. A highlight is the captivating K-12 Animal Life presentations and engaging zookeeper talks that dish up fascinating animal facts. Children broaden their understanding of the animal kingdom and ignite a sense of respect for these extraordinary creatures. Further elevate the thrill quotient, with the chance to hand-feed giraffes and embark on a Zoo Train adventure. Top this with a scenic Skyride and a spin on the Carousel, turning it into an unforgettable experience. Families can opt for a leisurely stroll along the serpentine boardwalk trail under the forest canopy. Parents be ready with your cameras as you spot a myriad of hoofed animals prancing around. The occasional glimpses of different species, like the world's fastest antelope, the Prognhorn, add an adventurer's thrill to the expedition. In the Metro Richmond zoo, every pathway leads to a new discovery, a new sense of admiration for nature’s wonders. Here, the joy for the entire family is free as the birds, inclusive of ample parking and access to a serene picnic pavilion. So breathe in the fresh air, bond with the creatures, and watch as your family blossoms in the delightful ambiance of Metro Richmond Zoo camp.
