Overview
A small three-star family-run hotel for the unpretentious traveller. It has a very advantageous location in the centre of Niederau, opposite the main ski area, close to the gondola lift, children's ski school, restaurants and après-ski bars.
The main Ski Juwel ski area (Auffach village) is accessible by a free shuttle bus that stops right outside the hotel. Ski equipment rentals can be found on the ground floor of the building, and a ski storage box is available for free for holidaymakers. The rooms are very simple in design and not too spacious, but they are warm, cosy and clean.
The Austria Hotel operates on a half-board system, offering its guests a breakfast buffet with several kinds of cereals, pastries, yoghurt, fruit salads, cheese and meat platter, egg dish, a wide selection of jams, juices, coffee and tea.
Dinner includes a salad bar, soup, main course (three choices, including a vegetarian option, and dessert). After skiing, the whole family can relax in the spa area equipped with an indoor pool, or take a sauna or steam bath (adults only). Due to its excellent location, decent level of service and quality food we can recommend this hotel for families with children of school age, planning a budget holiday in the Ski Juwel resort.
