The family-run Hotel & Alpin Lodge Der Wastlhof boasts a large number of customers who have stayed there for many years. The warm, homely atmosphere, comfortable rooms and friendly staff are constant features of the complex. Most families come here with children.
The hotel is situated in the village of Niederau, close to the ski area and the easy blue slopes. There is a rope tow lift opposite the building. You can take it up to the top and then down to the gondola lift, which takes you to the more challenging and longer runs. If you want to get straight to the gondola, however, you'll have to walk about five minutes. Rooms at the hotel are varied, with most rooms accommodating up to four people. The food at the hotel is good and tasty. Plenty of breakfasts, snacks at lunchtime and an à la carte dinner are on offer.
There is a games room for young children, a playground and a pony ride in summertime (the hotel has its own horse club). Both children and adults can take riding lessons. The hotel has a spa centre with a spacious swimming pool, sauna and steam room. It is a great place to spend some quality time with the whole family after a day of skiing.
