The four-star Hotel Zugspitze enjoys an ideal location in the resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen: on a dead end street, yet only a short walk from the main street and railway station, close to a bus stop and shops. The hotel is cosy and comfortable, with well-equipped rooms. For families with children, we recommend the two-bedroom apartment with kitchenette. The hotel has a modern spa area with an indoor pool, which is particularly pleasant after a day's skiing.
Breakfast is simple, but fresh, with a good choice of fruit, pastries and eggs. An afternoon cake is also included in the room rate. The Hotel Zugspitze also offers dinner on request (four à la carte choices).
There is no special entertainment for children, but older guests can enjoy the Wii games in the lobby or the free iPad. Overall, this is a great hotel for all types of travellers, especially families with pre-school and school-age children.
