If you're on holiday with your children in the Austrian resort of Wagrain (Salzburgerland Ski Resort) or nearby, be sure to take them to a very interesting place where your young traveller can blow off steam while competing against their peers in speed, agility, daring, flexibility and bravery. We recommend the outdoor entertainment centre at the top of the Grafenberg lift. Once you have climbed to 1700 metres above sea level, an exciting adventure awaits you and your kids.
Grafenberg Children's World has more than 30 areas with a variety of games for children and adults. Here are some of the most interesting.
Two new areas in the entertainment centre are dedicated to the magical element of water. In one, you can play with water pumps and build dams. The other shows the journey of water from a tap to a pond. You can see how the water makes its way through spirals, pyramids, wheels and other obstacles to the large water area.
In the large rock area you can feel the weightlessness. This simple attraction works as follows: everyone climbs onto a large stone, attached to a rope, and swings like a pendulum.
The local children's farm has a small village house and its own stable. Young visitors to the summer park can feel like real farmers.
A swinging and vibrating bridge called the Golden Gate spans the pond. You can walk across it and feel the strong vibrations. You can also take a raft to the other side of the lake if you're not afraid of a dip in the cool water. There is an obstacle course for the bravest and most agile. Balancing, a rope course, various tricks that require good coordination - all this and more awaits the young, agile athletes in the obstacle course area.
The local climbing wall is a challenge for children who are not afraid of heights. It is a great way to test your child's willpower and improve their balance and coordination. Several of the routes have handy multi-coloured handholds for easy climbing. There is a giant forest swing in one area of the centre. If you're brave and not afraid of heights, this is entertainment for people like you!
For those who prefer to go barefoot, the owners of the entertainment centre have come up with an interesting attraction: a natural foot massage. Take off your shoes and walk around barefoot on different surfaces. Whether it's mud, moss or pebbles, you can feel the sensation on the skin of your feet.
The KUHBIDU Adventure Trail has recently been added to the park, attracting all young explorers and naturalists to Grafenberg. Your young explorers will find answers to questions such as "What does a cow eat?", "Where does milk come from?" and "How is cheese made?" and have fun on the themed trail with ten adventure stations. Anyone who manages to solve all the puzzles will receive a little surprise at the valley station on the way home.
