Overview
The four-star Burghotel Castillo Alcazar Europa-Park is located on the edge of Europe's largest theme park, Europa-Park. Like the other hotels in the area, Castillo Alcazar has its own distinctive style in the form of a medieval knight's castle.
The long corridors with knight's armour, narrow high windows and massive wooden furniture in the rooms add a touch of mystery. The four-star Alcazar Chateau has only one buffet restaurant. But guests will not go hungry as it is part of the Spanish hotel complex in the park. This means not only shared reception, but also access to the restaurants, services and entertainment of neighbouring El Andaluz and Santa Isabel.
In the mornings, the Euro-Mouse and his friends come to wish the young guests a good breakfast. Afterwards, all the attractions and cafés of Europa Park are at your disposal. And for guests staying at the Castillo Alcazar and nearby hotels, there is an early entrance and late exit to the park.
If you decide to take a day off from the thrills and spills, there is a modern swimming pool with waterslides just outside the medieval castle and beautiful gardens with fountains in the courtyard. Directions
The Burghotel Castillo Alcazar Europa-Park is located in the largest amusement park in Europe, Europa Park, near Rust, Germany. The hotel is 174 km from Stuttgart International Airport and 238 km from Frankfurt International Airport.
The quickest and easiest way to reach both the park and the hotel is by car. By taxi, pre-booked transfer or rental car it takes about 2-3 hours to get from Stuttgart, Frankfurt or Munich.
By train: From Frankfurt to Rust, take the Offenburg-Ringsheim route; from Stuttgart take the Mannheim-Offenburg-Ringsheim route, with connections in Mannheim and Offenburg. From Munich you can get to Ringsheim via Stuttgart. This option is cheaper than a car, but will be very tiring for young children.
Ringsheim itself is only 5 km away. From Ringsheim, which is 5 km away from Europa Park, there is a regular bus express service from the station to the amusement park. It passes the hotel area, including El Andaluz Europa-Park Hotel.

Food and Drink
The on-site restaurant and bar are only open during the park season. The Castillo, a buffet restaurant serving Spanish and international cuisine, serves breakfast in the morning and dinner after 6pm. The morning buffet is varied, with dishes ranging from cereals, marmalades, pastries and yoghurts to cheese platters, meat and fish dishes.
In the evening, head to the Buena Vista Club Bar on the 9th floor of the hotel, which has a terrace with panoramic views of the park and surrounding area. The bar is decorated in a general Spanish medieval style, with many secluded corners and access to the library.
The Castillo Alcazar, together with El Andaluz and Santa Isabel, form a single Spanish-theme hotel complex, so guests are not limited to a modest choice of restaurants in their accommodation alone, but can sample dishes in the restaurants of any of the three hotels. Alternatively, near the Castillo Alcazar is the Colosseo Park Hotel, which serves Italian cuisine.
Throughout the day there are a number of restaurants and cafes in the park, a full list of which can be found on the website (http://europapark.de/en/park/food-and-beverage-europa-park). For cheap drinks and fruit at non-tourist prices, you'll have to walk to the nearby Aldi minimart.
On arrival you will receive a welcome fruit platter and a bottle of water from the hotel.
