4-Sterne Erlebnishotel El Andaluz, Europa-Park Freizeitpark & Erlebnis-Resort
Europa-Park-Str. 4+6 | 77977 Rust, Germany
Overview
The 4-star El Andaluz Hotel is located on the grounds of Europe's largest theme park, Europa Park. It is the oldest hotel in the park. Following the refurbishment, it now shares an inner courtyard, lobby and reception area with the neighbouring Spanish-style Castillo Alcazar Hotel, and guests have access to new services.
The Andalusian castle-style rooms all have a Spanish flair, in perfect harmony with the double-decker children's beds and themed rooms typical of Europa-Park hotels. Sun blinds on the windows ensure that babies' naps are not disturbed, and double doors guarantee peace and quiet in the room.
Dining options at El Andaluz Europa-Park Hotel are limited to two restaurants. However, the proximity of the Colosseo and Castillo Alcazar hotels, as well as the park's cafés and restaurants, make it easy to eat out throughout the day. And the buffet (free vouchers given to guests at check-in) is no different from a typical breakfast in a European four-star hotel. The park's mascot, Euromyshonoka, is sure to make an appearance to check how diligently the children are eating their morning portions.
Of course, the main attraction at El Andaluz is Europa Park. The entertainment starts with a merry-go-round on the doorstep, continues in the play area and on the park's paths, and culminates in an evening children's disco with a real DJ. Those who get too hot for the rides can cool off on the waterslides in the shared courtyard of the Castillo Alcazar. The main thing is not to get too carried away with the evening's entertainment. You'll need to get up early the next morning to take advantage of early access to the rides for guests staying in the park's hotel area.

Food and Drink
There is a restaurant and bar on site which is only open during the park season. Guests are given complimentary vouchers on arrival for breakfast, which is served in the on-site restaurant until 10am.
The morning buffet is typical of European 4-star hotels, with the obligatory cereals, dried fruit, jams, pastries, yoghurt, cheese spreads and meat dishes.
As lunch approaches, Don Quichotte's a la carte service begins, offering variations of international and Spanish cuisine, from classic paella and tortilla to exquisite king prawns in oil. Diet meals and vegetarian menu are available.
In the evening, Don Quichotte's baton is taken up by El Circo bar, whose name is more than just a reference to the circus. The interior makes you wonder if you are in the bar or backstage. Light snacks and cocktails are the perfect way to end a long day at the park.
What the hotel lacks in food and beverage options, it makes up for in its location. Firstly, there are two other Europa Park hotels, Colosseo and Castillo Alcazar, just a stone's throw away from El Andaluz. Secondly, there are all sorts of restaurants and cafes scattered around the park itself, a full list of which can be found on the park's website (http://europapark.de/en/park/food-and-beverage-europa-park). Food and drinks are available at the nearby Aldi supermarket, which sells food and drink at lower prices than inside the park.
On arrival, guests receive a welcome basket of fruit and a bottle of water from the hotel. For anniversaries, guests receive a complimentary bottle of champagne and fruit bowl.
There are restaurants and bars in the hotel:
- Don Quichotte Restaurant (11:00 - 22:00). International and Spanish cuisine, à la carte service.
Open during park season only
- El Circo Bar (21:00 - last call). Drinks, cocktails, snacks
